Witchipedia Launches Print E-mail

As some of you at the Town Center Borderpagans meetings know, I have set up a Wikipedia site for pagan, heathen and general magical information at Witchipedia.org.

For those not familiar with Wikipedia, it is an online, open source, open contribution encyclopedia. The primary wiki site on the web at wikipedia.com is a great site, but is a general purpose site with not much depth in some of its pagan areas.

What I want to build Witchipedia into is a primary resource for online information for all things magical. This is where you, my fine readers, come in.

Wikipedia sites are designed so that anyone can author a new article, extend or edit someone else's article or even create a whole new topic section.

I currently have the site configured for open editing. Anyone can edit anything. However, once I get a good cadre of knowledgeable people on board, I am going to change that to a moderated edit system. In other words, edits will be at least screened before being committed to the site.

What I am looking for is content. I am looking for people who can write even a few sentences on some topic related to magic, paganism, wicca, heathenry, asatru, or any other non-mainstream religious thought. It doesn't have to be a great magnum opus, just something that you always wished you had known when you started out.

Take a look around the site. It's still in the works and the overall look & feel will change over the next few weeks. If you are interested in contributing, feel free to do so. If you need a bit of help with how to write and/or edit a wiki entry, let me know.

The site is at: Witchipedia.org
All things wiki can be found at: Wikipedia.org

Thank you again for all your help.
