Merry meet and croeso (welcome) to the new Church of Y Tylwyth Teg website!

YTT is not new, improved, advanced, revised, reformulated nor upgraded. Instead, we are working diligently to uncover its accurate history, events and individuals. It sounds quite impressive to be a descendant of Welsh royalty, but in most cases our ancestors were not royalty--just everyday people working hard to care for their families, living a religious life of traditional values and honor AND trying to survive the socio-economics of the time.

Given the above what "YTT is not" statement, YTT is comprised of many students, teachers, mentors and individuals living the religious life of their choice. I'd like to personally welcome each person reading this explanatory page. I am Lady Cerridwen, president/CEO of the corporation, Church of YTT. I am also a seventh level high priestess, perpetual student, occasional teacher, and always confident-friend to other students and seekers. In my 2+ years of leadership of the Church, the primary goal has been to reinstate our only law - And it harm none, do as you will. In the Church's first 35 years in the United States, the ethics and honor of this religious tradition were occasionally overlooked. That was inappropriate and unacceptable. I believe that we cannot grow and thrive in our religion if we do not have nor give honor and respect. I believe that each student, practitioner of our religion should be proud of their efforts and achievements as well as their religious choice.

Many people have generally heard/read about one person previously affiliated with the Church of YTT, Rhuddlwm Gawr (see our web page Announcements for Gawr’s retirement/resignation statement). Gawr created (April 2004) another group called Dynion Mwyn. Everyone should note that Rhuddlwm Gawr was not the sole member of the Church of YTT for 35 years (just as any minister is not the sole make-up of any Church). Further, although Gawr’s books refer to Dynion Mwyn and YTT, synonomously, that is inaccurate. Dynion Mwyn existed in Europe, not the U.S. YTT exists only in the U.S.

As a 17-year student of one teacher of our religion, I thought I knew a little about our Church's history and its European roots. However, in the past year, I have learned that the history I was taught ranged from slightly inaccurate to, in some instances, completely false. Our initiates are individually researching the Church's European beginnings to find its verifiable, corroborated historical information, which we believe will give us an accurate basis upon which to build. We welcome such verifiable information, regardless of source.

Our home page includes a "Contact Us" listing, currently with 4 email addresses. We encourage you to use these email addresses to ask questions, make suggestions, and/or give us your thoughts and comments.

We also have an "Announcements" listing. We would be happy to display your announcements, as well as pictures of personal events (subject to any photo size limitations set by our Webmaster).

We have established a "Forum" for open discussions (see home page menu). Please register and use it.

And, of course, we are so very proud to announce and display information of CymryCon 2005. What does CymryCon mean? Clearly, the Welsh people are known as the Cymry. "Con" means, collectively, conference, convention, connection, conversation, etc. I hope you will browse through the information about CymryCon and then register to join us. We have the honor of being welcomed to and hosted by Dragon Hills. Many of you have already attended festivals and events at Dragon Hills; have experienced the community spirit and welcoming nature of the land and its owners. We hope you will join us at Dragon Hills, September 1-4, for CymryCon 2005!

Bendithion Disglair (Bright Blessings),

Lady Cerridwen
